HOW IS A COLD-PROCESSED SOAP DIFFERENT?

The first usage of soap can be traced back to ancient Babylonia as early as 2800 B.C. Inscriptions on the excavated cylinders indicate that fats were boiled with wood ashes and water.

The modern saponification process requires Sodium Hydroxide or Lye, an alkali to turn oil into soap, none of which remains in the finished product. The chemical ones came in commercially after World War 1 in response to a shortage of fats to make soaps.

USAGE RITUAL

Rub the wet soap on your hands until it lathers.
Using your hands, work your way to the scalp and hair, foam will increase, as you apply.
Rinse with water. For people with very dry hair - use a conditioner afterward.
It may take 6-8 washes for your hair and scalp to transition to a 100% natural shampoo.
